  • hello Hj ralles, 11-7-10 I love your keeper series, but I think you shoud right a new series with Matt,Targon, and Angel. What I mean is in the epilogue of the last book it says Varl is going to make a harder game that they will try out in a year. Because you did a great job on the keeper series. So why not add more exitment? I even have a great idea for the first words in the book. Time was running out. Soon enough Matt would have to go into an even harder challenge. One day left until I go back into a game ,thought Matt. "I can't believe I agreed again to test it out", Matt moaned. Matt geussed he'd had to much fun last time.To bad there was no going back. Even if you don't like it I would like to write a new series for Matt and his friends. Oh,and my name is Sophie and I live in Conroe Texas and I go to * * * * * Elemantray. I'm In fourth grade. You came this year and I got to meet you. Well, whatever you do I hope you do this. bye, your fan, Sophie

  • I'm Thomas in 4th grade from * * * * Elementary in Plano. You visited our school on January 18, 2011. I searched everywhere on the Internet (yes, including Amazon) for the cover of The Ghosts of Malhado. I couldn't find it. Finally, I went to the webpage of Top Publications (the publisher of all your books) and I found it. It's really cool! You put on a nice touch by changing the font of the title and your name. I finished Darok 9. It's really good. So, what happened to Lydia? And, is there a third book in the Darok series? Why did you just write about Daroks 9 and 10? Was there nothing interesting about Daroks 1-8? I went to the Barnes & Noble at Preston in Plano the other day. I asked for Keeper of the Kingdom, Keeper of the Realm, Keeper of the Empire, Keeper of the Colony, and Keeper of the Island. They went to the shelf and said that there was nothing there, so she checked in the back. Guess what? They had entirely sold out on Keeper of the Realm, Keeper of the Empire, and Keeper of the Island! That's how popular your books are! What are hoppers? Do they travel in space or do they hop from place to place? And wouldn't it be an uncomfortable ride on a hopper because of the bouncing? I wonder.... do you plan to write anything after the Plague of Pagora that you know about?

When you visited our school the vote was unanimous. We all wanted to read one of your books. Hopefully we'll decide on one of the keeper series. They look SUPER cool. • June 5th 2007 I finally got a chance to finish the final chapter, and all I can say is WOW! A great end to an amazing series of books. However, I am excitedly anticipating your new series of books, so keep in touch. Your books truly are awesome, and they taught me to love science fiction a great deal more than before. • December 12th 2006 Dear Mrs Ralles... Does Mrs. Ralles sound too formal? Because if I'm formal than I'm boring, and if I'm boring then you'll stop reading this immediately...and let me tell you, that wouldn't be a good thing! Well, enough with the mindless babbling that I tend to do, I'll cut to the chase. Right now you're probably wondering who I am. Remember when you went to * * * Middle School? And did the writing workshop? I was the one with blonde hair that always gave you hugs and adored your quite "brilliant" accent. Kristen. Ring a bell? It might not, but all the while...either way, everyday after the workshop I would scream in my parent's ears that Mrs. Ralles was the coolest author in the widest world, and that I loved her accent, and all that good stuff. You are cool! I hope I can go to that party thing...when is it? I really would love to have a reply from Kristen

  • June 14th 2006 Dear H.J. Ralles, I would like to let you know about the great impact you have made on me and my brother's lives. Around the time Keeper of the Kingdom first came out you visited a small elementary school called Peters Elementary. I had always been a huge book reader and wished to one day write books of my own. When I heard that a new Author was coming to talk to us I was excited and yet hesitant. I had previously been to a Young Authors conference and in which the Speakers (Authors of books I had grown up reading) were very rude. Because of that I had a strange Idea that Authors were all mean and I did not wish to grow up to be a mean person. I truly can not remember all the things that you said to us that day but what has stuck to me all these years is that you made my world of writing turn around. I hadn't even read your book and yet the way you talked and smiled made me feel like I too could someday possibly be a writer. I am still working toward my dream but whatever it was that you did to make me keep going for it I can still feel. My Brother has never been a big reader but I dared him to at least finish Keeper of the Kingdom and he has been reading ever since. He is just a little older than I was when you came to talk to us. Whatever it is that you do when you talk to kids keep doing for you never truly realize how much of an impact you have on other people's lives. With deepest Thanks, Tiffany

I just finished reading Keeper of the Empire in less than 24 hours, and it was fantastic! I found myself unable to fall asleep on Wednesday night, and read until 3:00 am. I just couldn't put it down! I finished it during school today, using every possible moment I had to read on and on. It kept me in suspense throughout the schoolday. It's a shame I hardly got any school work done today! • March 28th 2006 H.J. Ralles, I have just finished Colony. It is so amazing!!! I like the cliff hanger ending! Very nice, and I am so impatient for the 5th and last book of the Keeper series. You should make another series like that, and it would be awesome. Hey, I think that this is the best book, next to Kingdom, ofcourse. I just like your way of writing, and how you put emotion into it. I really liked the fact that "Jake" was * * * * *! Very amazing way to end your book with a such ironic detail. I just Loved It! I can't say how much I like your books. You should make Isle have a lot of action, but please, no weapons like Jake insisted. Also, I should suggest that you end Isle with Matt seeing all of his friends from all five levels, and well, that's all I can suggest, because of your great crerativity. I really am looking further to Isle. Speeking of, can I know what Isle is going to be about? I just want a breif summary. Well, I have to go, and please, Write Back!!!!! Fernando

So, how many Kepper series books are you planning to make? Are you writing another series of books? If so, can you tell me the title? Your #1 fan, Fernando

  • April 16th 2005 Dear Mrs. H.J Ralles, Thank you for the Keeper series. I met you in Barnes And Noble on April 16. You met my grandmother she gave you her card, her name was * * *. I was the kid with the chocolate sucker shoved in his mouth. I wanted to give you my review on the book so far. My favorite character is the almost dead but brave Targon. I am on page 89 at the time and will probably progress through the night. I can't believe all the things Matt did to get his CD and it won't work now. I can't believe that the Protectors killed Norak and Commander Z. But in their point of view I can understand the rebellion. I can't wait for the 4th book and am anxious and wondering if you could tell me a quick review and tell me when it will come out. I also can't wait to read the other 2 books of the keeper series. After this I am definitely reading Darok 9 and 10. If you could come any time to Dove Elementary my fellow pupils and I would love to hear about you. Thank you for you time and reading this letter I hope you can find the time to e-mail me back. Thank You, an excited reader, Robert

  • April 15th 2005 Dear Mrs. Ralles You were at * * * * on april 14, 05 and I came to the library and asked for you to sign my books and i'm really excited about that. • April 1st 2005 Hi! I'm Charlie from the 5th grade in (I can't tell you the name of my school) I really like your outstanding books. (Last night, I stayed up with my lantern on reading Keeper of the Realm) I have written a story called "The Story of Hurkle." However, I have one question. Is it better when you make a series to have numbers like 1 and 2 and 3, or is it better to make a new name? Or should I just keep parts of the same title? Ugh..My brain hurts!

  • March 16th 2005 Dear Mrs. Ralles, Today you came to my school in Plano Texas. I remember you from 3 years ago when my brother, Jake sent you his story, you were all he talked about and I was so excited when I heard you where coming to my school!!! The strategy you told us 4th graders about looking in magazines will really help me in the future. I love writing stories but I could never think of a good story like my how my brother wrote. Now thanks to you I will never have to think for one second at my computer about what to write. Thank you so so so so much!!! You are an awesome author and though I°Įm only on page 5 of the Keeper of the Kingdom it looks like a BESTSELLER! I hope in the future I will be able to send you a story you helped me write!! Once again thank you, and my brother also thanks you he now right many stories which are also Sci-Fi. Your Newest Fan, Kim

  • March 5th 2005 The Keeper of the Empire is really good. I finished it today. I can't wait for Keeper of the Coloney to come out and see what Targon does at Matt's house. When do you think it will come out? Also I'm sorry but I can't come to Barns' and Noble's in a week because I'm supposed to go to Six Flags Over Texas with my church. sorry. Kevin

  • Feb 23rd 2005 Dear H.J. Ralles, My name is Lawrence Liu and I'm one of your bigest fans. I have and have read all your books. All of them are signed as well. I first learned of your writings last year when my librarian, said you were coming. I was so excited. I then ordered all your books, and your lesson was invigorating. I went to both the first Keeper of the Empire kick-off party and the first Darok 10 kick-of party. I just finished Darok 10 and personaly, I think it's your best book yet. How did you come up with the idea of the evil * * * *. I can't believe she killed * * * *. Every paragraph is exciting and I couldn't stop. I think you should make a series of books when Will is a scientist and dicover the breakthrough Keeper series and/or Darok 10 or your new series. Thanks Again for inspiring me! Lawrence Liu P.S. When is the Keeper of the Colony kick-off party, and how many books will be in the Keeper series?

I also, want to collect all of your books since they get my attention. I hope you write more good books.Nicole

  • Feb 19th 2005 Hello H.J. Ralles, I haven't heard from you in a while! How are you? How is Empire comming? Are you almost done? By the way, Darok 10 was AWSOME! I finished it. Oh, and I am glad you don't put illustrations in your books. Do you know why? It is becaouse you can imagine the charecters in the book. Oh, and by the way, I'm going to write a movie director so he can read one of your books. Well write back! Fernando

  • Feb 16th 2005 Dear H. J. Ralles, Thank you for visiting our school and teaching us about voice and plot. I was in the Eccel class. Thank you for letting us make those Plot spinners, where it helps you think of a plot. You really helped me understand what voice is. I got all of your books last year when you visited. This year i got Darok 10. I've read all of them. They are so interesting and exiting. I can't wait for Keeper of the Colony to come out. I want to be an author when i grow up. Kaitlyn, a 11 year old fan

  • Feb 3rd 2005 Dear Mrs. Ralles- I have just finished Keeper of the Kingdom. It was so awesome! Aside from having cool characters and action scenes, it made me think about how far this whole " Information Age" thing can really go- for better or worse. What kind of music do you listen to when you write? Speaking of writing, I have written a fantasy story, and I was wondering if you could maybe put a tiny portion of it one your website. If not, could you read it and tell me what you think? . . . Thanks a lot, from Mason, a 12 year old fan.

  • Feb 2nd 2005 I was just wondering about your settings for the Keeper series and how you get them and what it might be for Keeper of the Colony and you said you're making Keeper of the Isle what settings might they have? I've read all your books except Darok 10 but, I'm on that. my name is Nikki. I am your biggest fan! I will see you on the 5th at Barnes and Noble

  • Feb 2nd 2005 Dear H.J. Ralles, I really enjoyed the Darok 10 kick-off party! I love the cover! So, now you met my best friend, Bhavaish. He loves the Darok series, that when you signed the book, he started to read it right away. Man, I have to say you are Wonder-Woman, because you go to many places, and you still kick-off another book! Com on, keep writing Colony, and you'll see that you can finish it! You can do it! You've already done two-thirds, and I bet you can do the rest. By the way, what does Darok stand for? Well, I remembered fron the kick-off party that you said there might be a Darok 11. And you said if there was a Darok 11, they had to be building the Darok. I got an idea of what you could do. Well, what you could do, you could make the Fourth Quadrant attack any of the Daroks, and the Darok the Fourth Quadrant attaked can be no longer in use, because of all the damage. So, they have to construct another Darok and they have to call it "Darok 11". . . Two things. Keep writing Colony and think about writing Darok 11. Fernando

  • Feb 2nd 2005 Dear Ms. Ralles, thanks for coming to * * * yer really nice I like yer accent and I'll be at yer party. SONIA

I write a bit myself when im bored, though it is mainly fantasy. what I write is very long though, but if you want I could send an excerpt from one of them. I would really like a professional's opinion, it would help my writing alot. Your fan, Sinclair

  • Jan 24 th 2005 Dear Mrs.H.J. Ralles, I read Keeper of the kingdom I'm trying to get my mom to buy the others to read. What bookstores offer your books? But anyway I thought that you can do a movie of keeper of the Kingdom! I mean the book is short enough for the whole book to be in a 2 1/2 hour movie. (Remember Lord of the rings was 2 1/2 hours long.) Hey maybe Gnadalf can be Dorin! But any ways you could start off in england, or America, or maybe even canada see how it does there if it does great inch it country by country. So that we can see the labertorys and all! Because it is after all only 2005. So if you picture that maybe a video game? For the computer of course. Signed, Ethan

  • Jan 24 th 2005 Hi Ms. Ralles! I remember when you visited my middle school when I was in 6th grade. The summer before 7th grade, I moved here to San Diego, CA. Now I'm in 9th grade. • November 3rd 2004, Dear Mrs.Ralles, HI! My name is Samantha you came to * * * * elementry to tell us about your books. I wanted to ask you a question about Keeper of the Realm. How long did it take you to write the book?

  • October 27th 2004, This week we are going to start another narrative using the activity that you did with us last week. I can't wait. Next year when I am at Middle School I am going to miss having you come and doing workshops with us. The first time you came to * * * when I was in fourth grade I hated writing narratives. But ever since then I have been hooked. My brother and I love your books. Between us both we own all of them. It has been a long time since I read Keeper of the Kindom so I started it again yesterday. While reading I discovered alot of things that I didn't catch before. I can't wait to start Keeper of the Empire! Thanks for helping all of us get into writing, Laura 5th grade

  • October 27th 2004, Hello Ms. Ralles, I go to * * * * middle school, and you may remember me. I was short and had black har. I was wearing a blue fleece jacket, but if you don't remember that is ok too. :-) Well, i really want to become an author when i grow up, and seeing you actually at school has always been exciting for me. There are three main writers that i sort of worship. One is J.K. Rowling. I LOVE the Harry Potter series and i sort of try to, not really copy, but get my writing as clear as hers. She makes it so you can picture exactly what is going on. I can't really help but compare you to her. You both use really discriptive words, and we can really picture what is going on right in our heads! I just started reading your books and i am LOVING them! You are my second author (this is not in any type of order) I love Targon, though i can't exactly picture why.... But you are really great and every time you read parts of your books, i feel this little jolt inside me saying "You HAVE to do this! This is a real successful author!" I have always wanted to be an author, and hopefully, someday I'll get published. I am really into horse, so that is pretty much all i write about. I'm going to attach a story i've started recently, but am no where close to finishing. I really hope you can give me some things i can doing well, and others you think i could work on. I really hope you reply to this. I really hope that you will keep on writing the series! I love your work! Anjali

  • October 27th 2004, H.J. Ralles, Guess what? I am through Empire!!!!!!!! It is so awsome!!! That is nice how Targon is in 2010 with Matt. I really liked it!!!!!!!!!!! I just can't wait till Colony!!!! Wel, I have to say your books are awsome!!!!!!! Your greatest fan, Fernando

  • October 25th 2004, Dear Ms. Ralles: Thank you so much for coming to my school last Monday. It was a pleasure to meet you. I especially liked the idea of a Creativity Box that you shared with us. I have read The Keeper of the Kingdom and The Keeper of the Realm. I couldn't put them down and read them both in four days. I am about to start reading The Keeper of the Empire. I can't wait until Darok 10 and The Keeper of the Colony come out. Thanks again. --Devin Livingston, NJ

  • September 17th 2004, Dear Mrs.Ralles, My name is Michael. I go to * * * * elementry and you visited us in September. When you visited I was very bad at writing. That all changed rapidly after your visit. I found a way to express my feelings about things happening around me. I decided that you can let your emotions flow more freely in poetry form. I would also like to share some poems with you now. * * * * You, see making poems is like keeping a diary you write things as they happen. I guess that the old saying was right you know practice makes perfect. Because the more I write the more I improve. I also am noticing errors in my writing more frequently to. That's all I have for now. Your friend Michael p.s. I'm waiting for the next book of yours.

  • September 17th 2004, H.J. Ralles, I'm almost done with Empire, and I just can't put it down!!!! Guess what I saw on the "Fan mail" icon? I saw three of my messages there!!!!!! Whwn I saw them, I rushed to get my mom!!!! Well, I'm almost done with chapter 1 in my story. I invented a way of transportation in my book. Fernando

We met and talked about publishers and a science fiction conference in Richardson this February. Could you please send me some more information on this? Thank you. You also mentioned a science fiction site by Lisa Dumond. Could you tell me what this website is? I desperately want to get my short story published. If you could help me with some advice on how to start my career as a writer, I would greatly appreciate it. Your fan, Blake

Also thank you very much for showing us how much fun writing really is, and inspiring us all to write, and giving us the 411 on the Keeper of the Empire and Darok 10. Most of my classmates confessed that they think you are the best writer there is. I personally think that you're the best writer in Texas, or maybe even in the United States! Well I do like magic a little bit more than computers, and Harry Potter than Matt, although I think you ARE the best writer this side of the Atlantic. Sincerely, Anna

  • September 8th 2004, I reallly admire your work. You do a really good job of writing the Kingdom books, and I hope you continue with writing books that take place in the futer and/ or in video games, movies, or anything else that seems really interresting to you, your teenage boys, and your husband. Maybe even some of you fans (like me) or you girlfriends. You are very talanted . . Sarah

  • September 6th 2004, I have just been reading Keeper of the Realm !!!!" It is really interesting. I certainly love the part that Matt, Varl, and Targon need to survive only by taiking 2 blue pills and a drink every day. I could not survive that. I have to say that you are the best author that walked on Earth. Fernando

  • September 1st, 2004. Dear H.J. Ralles, I just finished reading another of your great books, Keeper Of The Realm. I thought that Matt would land up by himself this time but having Varl and Targon there with him made the story a whole lot better than I thought it would be. I'm going to be reading the next book in the series very soon and I'm sure I will enjoy it just as much. Are you working on any other books in the Keeper series and if so I hope you release them really soon. Keep On Writing, Ethan

They were two sisters and he older one was explaining and helping the younger one on parts she could not understand. Then after my game I asked them what they thought of the book and they said it was the "most bestest" book they have ever read. That made me really happy seeing that your book popularity is growing and that it made a chance for two sisters to bond. The next day I went to a recreational center and saw another girl reading Darok 9 this also made me very happy. I hope you have a chance to read this e-mail because I know it will make you happy. If you get to read it please -mail me back. Thank you. From, Your #1 fan Parsa

  • March 2nd 2004 Dear Mrs.Ralles, My name is Igli and I am the seventh grade student from * * * * * Junior High who presented you in the PDC building. Presenting you Mrs.Ralles, was a very special event that I will never forget. I thank you for giving me a wonderful book named Keeper of the Kingdom. The book was filled with excitement, and surprises that made me read for hours. The book captured my mind and I felt like I was in a whole new world. I could imagine the appearance of the protectors and the behavior they had towards the workers, I could imagine the suffering the workers had to overcome, and also I had a beautiful visual image of the Kindom of Zaul before the occupation of the Keeper, commanders, and protectors. But, my most favorite part in the book was when the characters, Matt, Targon, the workers, and Liberators marched toward the armed protectors with a heart fillled with the treasure known as bravery to fight for their freedom and for the freedom of Zaul. The action was filled with sadness as lives began to vanish and it was filled with a sense of victory when the Liberators destroyed thousands of Protectors Mrs.Ralles you are a very intelligent and wonderful author and I thank you again for giving me an autographed book that opened my imagination a step higher. Sincerely, Igli

I was reading your book last night and my dad took it away from me so I retrieved it from his room in the middle of the night while every body was asleep! I used my flashlight to read! Well I really hope that DAROK 10 is going to be a hit! Well my mom is calling me while begging me to get off the computer! Tricia

  • January 18th 2004 Dear Mrs.Ralles, I appreciated your reply to my last letter. I remember you telling my 6th grade class that you are making a sequel to Darok 9 called Darok 10 and I wanted to know if you have a time in mind as to how long it will take to be released into bookstores. When are some of the (i think this is what it is called) kickoff parties? Thanks again for taking your valuable time to read this letter. Puja

  • January 17th 2004 Hi! My favorite keeper book is Keeper of the Empire. I thought Jesper was the most kind and caring to all other species. I really liked his character. Zak

  • January 17th 2004 Hello! This is Parsa, I don't know if you remember me or not but you have visited me at * * * Middle school and at * * * Elementary. I was also at Keeper of the Realm's kick-off party. I really have enjoyed your book and have read the keeper series 3 times and Darok 9 twice. I finished Keeper series recently to refresh my memory for Keeper of the Empire!!!! I wanted to tell you that I will defiantly be at your kick-off party on January 24. I would not miss it for anything! I love your books, and I consider you one of my favorite authors. I just wanted to ask if there will be any more follow ups to Darok 9 or the Keeper series. Or if you are writing more books. I know your schedule is very packed and you probably will not even read this e-mail like many other people I write to, but i really wish you could and you would send a reply. Thanks, with best wishes Your #1 fan (I hope) Parsa

  • January 17th 2004 Hi, My favorite keeper book is Keeper of the Empire. I thought Jesper was the most kind and caring to all other species. I really liked his character. My parents will take me to the party at BN on Jan. 24. What is the time? Zak

  • January 17th 2004 Dear Mrs. Ralles, Today I purchased all of your books. I've read the first chapter of Keeper of the Kingdom And I love it. I probably will be able to come to the kick off for Keeper of the Empire on Feb. 7. I have started writing my own book. From your fan, Hunter

  • January 17th 2004 Dear Ms. Ralles this is Jordan saying that I really am enjoying your book called Keeper of the Empire.I like the way you made Angel such a hot head.I have an idea for your Lastbook on the Keeper series.I think what you should do is make the last book have all the enemies go on a bounty hunt.I also thought of a new kind of enemy called the exeons. These creatures are also known as soul steelers. The reason I call them the soul steelers is because they have a little mouth on they're hand alowing them to steel souls. The only way to kill them is to make them steel they're own souls. There is something special about these creatures. If you kill them after they have killed somebody then that somebody's soul will revive them selves.

  • January 15th 2004 Hi! You came to my school today, * * * *. I always love when u come to our school! It really helps me write better stories, and I enjoy it much more now. You are encouraging me to be a writer some day, just like you! Last year I forgot to get Darok 9, and I was so mad!!! I can't belive I forgot my money today also. I am going to buy it tomorrow. No doubt about it! I remember when you tought us how to collect ideas for our stories, from the shoe box, and pasting pictures on note cards? Well I still have it, and it has helped me a lot. My shoebox is almost full. That is how many pistures I have on note cards now. Well I know you are busy, and I hope this message didn't distract you from your work, but I just wanted to know that I think your series are very interesting, and they do catch your mind from the beginning to the end. Thanks again! ~Mallori

  • January 15th 2004 Dear Mrs. Ralles, I was reading Keeper of The Empire when an interesting idea struck my mind. You could make a computer game out of the book like they do with movies. That way if people like the computer game they might want to read the books too; or visa versa. I would love it if you followed up on my idea. My name is Ross and I was at Barnes n Noble in Dallas, TX. I'm a fifth grader about 5 feet, I came with my brother who is very tall and I also came with my grandmother during November. Again I'd really love it if you would follow up on my idea

  • January 3rd 2004 Do you remember me. I was Chris from * * * * Elementary. I stayed after a little bit to ask what the green vaccine was for in Darok 9. Well, I was wondering if you could put my name in one of your new books. My full name is * * * * . Do you think you could fool around with that make my name a monster or a character? It would be even cooler if you could put my name in Darok 10. Chris

  • October 29th 2003. Dear Mrs. Ralles, Have you ever met a person named * * *, shes my aunt. I was first introduced to your book by her. I dont know if you remeber or not but you signed my book. Well, I wanted to tell you my favorite part of your book Keeper of the Kingdom. My favorite part is at the end when . . . . I liked it because you created mystery as to what happened. My Aunt Ro first gave me the signed book when I was eight. I've always wanted to read more material from you since then, but my Aunt didn't tell me about the other books, or the site for that matter. Shes coming to my house on Tuesday and she called on Sunday to tell me. I told her I was rereading the book and now, 3 years after I've read it for the first time she decided to tell me about all the other things you've done. Your #1 fan since the beginning, David

  • October 22nd 2003. Dear Mrs.Ralles, Today I read your "DAROK 9" book and it was awsome!!! I read the whole book in a day! I read until midnight, even though I was supposed to be sleeping. • October 22nd 2003. Dear Ms. Ralles, Right this moment my son is engrossed in your book "Keeper of the Kingdom"! You visited * * * * today and he purchased your book and does not want to put it down. I'm sure you have heard this before, but for my son this is very exciting because he is dyslexic. Normally, he does not willingly spend time reading. He took a shower in record time tonight because I told him that if he was quick, he could read some more before bed. I am overcome with gratitude to you for your gift of story telling that has made him want to read. This is so exciting to me and I wanted to share my joy with you. Thank you so very much. We want to purchase all your books! Now I am faced with the dilemma of having to tell him to stop reading for the first time, so he can go to bed! I am going to let him stay up a little longer... Again, thank you for making a difference in an eleven year olds life (and in his Mom's life too!)Rose

  • September 30th 2003.Dear Mrs.Ralles, Here is the explanation on the Heat shield (and how I think they worked in Keeper of the Kingdom): A specially made disk from a metal, is bombarded with electrons fired from an electron gun. When the disk is hit with an electron, the atoms in the disk become ' excited ' and release an neutrino. The released neutrino is held by gravitons, tiny particles that hold electrons, protons, and neutrons together . While the neutrino is held by gravitons from the graviton beam, an electron is fired at the neutrino crating an amazing particle. Three fourths of the energy is fired in the way of heat, while the other fourth makes the shield. Please relate most of this to the nuclear fission made in the sun. Sincerely,Gaurang.

  • September 30th 2003. Dear Mrs. Ralles, My name is Alex. You just visited my school. You told us about the new book Keeper of the Colony. I had an idea that for the evil villians they could be ants or bees like a colony of insects. I thought of this earlier when you said you didn't know what kind of evil creature it would be. Your leader could be a breeder of them or the queen insect. They could be tall and strong or have a poisonus stinger. Alex

I really enjoyed your presentation last year and I have learned more from this years presentation. I finished reading "Darok 9" just yesterday and it was everything the critics said it to be. I couldn't stop reading it, I enjoyed it so very much. I am going to read all of your novels since the last one was so exciting, and written brilliantly. Are all of your novels on the "Accelerated Reading List" for school? I would enjoy reading it for a grade! I love your method of writing, I wish the book wouldn't end, it was so intense that I stayed up late into the night reading it. I hope to see you next year if you decide to visit us again. • February 15th 2003 I know that you have a lot of e-mails, so I don't want to take up that much time. I really enjoyed your presentation! I can not write well, unless I want to. Once some one inspires me, it will last for a longtime, but then fade away, then I have no desire to write unless I have to. But like you did last year, you made me want to write again! I am now writing another story for a contest, it will be my first writing contest ever! Thank you for coming to ***** again! I am in fifth grade, so I will be going to Middle School. By the way, I wanted to read Keeper of the Realm with my dad, but when I borrowed Keeper of the Realm, from a friend, I read it accidently too much, half the book! I could not get away from it! Now an inspired, happy writer, Kyra

  • December 12th 2002. Dear Mrs.Ralles, I am reading your first book in the Keeper series and enjoying it so far. I am to the part where Targon has just gotten to the twisted tree to find Varl. I went onto your website to check it out and liked it a lot. I have already wrote down the dates for the 2 kick off parties for Keeper of the Realm. I already read the 1st chapter of it too. It is very interesting and you don't want to put it down or stop reading it. I can't wait to get my hands on it. The third one neither. I took a break from my homework to write to you so I better get back to you. Peyton

  • December 11th 2002. Dear H. J. Ralles, I don't know if u remember me. Well anyhow, I read both of your books, and you are now officially my favorite author. I became so attatched to Will and Hank in Darok 9 and then to Matt and the other wonderful characters that you have created in a matter of minutes in the Kingdom of Zaul while I read Keeper of the Kingdom. You truly are a fantastic author. By the way how is the movie making of Keeper of the Kingdom coming along, I can't wait till I can see it, or at least even the previews would be exiting to me at this point in time? I am so anxious to read Keeper of the Realm that I can't barely stand it. How far are you into it chapter wise? Also, I was wondering if sometime you could tell me a story outside of the the books, or at least make a younger kid's version of your books kind of like how the Left Behind series is made in a kid's version as well as an adult one. I am dying to read your books to my 8 year old brother, but he just won't sit still long enough for me to read two pages. I can't wait to hear the answer's to my questions. E- mail me back as soon as possible! Thanks, Mackenzie

  • December 11th 2002.I wish you had been here today when we finished Keeper of the Kingdom. When I read the computer error message, it got very quiet. When I began to read Matt's opening there was a very low gasp. Then someone started to giggle and it turned into full laughter. We spent 20 minutes discussing the sequel and wondering whether Matt would be able to move faster because of what he had learned, or if the Cybergons would also remember what had happened. I promised then I would get Realm on the 24th and we would begin it as soon as possible. We can't wait. G.W. Teacher in Plano, TX

  • December 11th 2002.Dear, Hilary Ralles, I'm in the fourth grade. You visited us and signed some Keeper of the Kingdom books, you also signed Darok 9. I got your email address by your website. You won't have to worry about any firewalls to send me back an email. I was so intreagued by your filing/idea system I made one of my own. It's not that large but it helps me to write a story when I need to or if I just feel like it. Well I guess thats it, please excuse me if I made any grammer or spelling mistakes.

  • December 7th 2002. Dear H.J. Ralles, I met you today at North East Mall and got your Darok 9 book and have already started reading it and enjoy it a lot. I was wonderfing if there will be a sequel to this book. I look forward to seeing you and your new book in January! Thanks again, Angela.

Then you came to our school, and I listened to you talk about your books. Since I never have played video games much, I did not think about getting Keeper of the kingdom. I went to your workshop, the creativity box, (which by the way I am still working on) I decided to buy Darok 9. I still have not completely finished it but I am very close. Please don't spoil the ending! I LOVE this book!!!!!! It is so exciting that I could not put it down and stayed up very late reading it!!!! I think this a great book and am glad that I got it! I am also glad that you were at our school to sign it for me!!! I can't wait for the next in the Darok series to come out!! I was wondering what you are going to title the next in the Darok series? Darok 10? How would you go on since there's only 10 Daroks? They could build on I guess! Maybe you could title it Quadrant 1! Then you'd get 4 more books! Although I know that you are a very busy author I would really appreciate it if you could write back with some of the answers to my questions!!Thanks!! Sincerely, Claire from Glastonbury, CT

I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you that I enjoyed both books and now my wife is reading them. I have been a long time science fiction fan and your books lived up to all the critics comments. Will look forward to new books in then future. Kindest regards, Bob

  • May 31, 2002. Dear Mrs. Ralles, I know that all authors have their own taste, but yours is just original and fresh. They are the kind of books that you just cannot put down. I have realized from past books that I have read, that when an author is rushed, his or her book often turns out in not best quality. So, for you, I advise you to relax, and just ignore the pressure, just let the words come naturally to you. As my motto, "You can make the words to whatever you want. Just tell them who's boss." I am an aspiring author. And, my teacher told me that I am one of the most creative students in the school, but my punctuation stinks. And she has always been throwing hints at me, trying to convince me that I am never going to become an author. But, when you came to my school yesterday, you said that you can become an author even if your punctuation stinks. And, your method for finding story ideas is incredible! I have to admit, I would have never thought of anything that brilliant. The reason I started writing my own stories, is because I can never find anything to read ever. Because, all writers, were once readers. So, when I could hardly find a good book to read on the shelf, I sat down at my desk, and wrote. Your story of writing is similar to mine. Your son had nothing to read, so you wrote. I was wondering how I can send in my picture of the cybergon protectors. Is there a certain address? Please reply. Well, it was nice talking to you. Or at least having a one way conversation with myself so far. Yours Truly, Meredith. (Connecticut)

  • May 30, 2002. Dear H.J. Ralles, You came to our school on May 30, and I was most excited to meet a published author. Your workshop on the creativity box was a very good idea, and I plan to use it with the story that I am writing myself. Someday, I hope that you are reading my books as I am reading yours now. Also, I wanted to give you some praise; the first chapter of Darok 9 was the best first chapter that I have ever read!!! Keeper of the Kingdom is also a GREAT book!!! Thank you for everything, Peter (Connecticut)

  • May 11, 2002. Hi! My name is Jessica and you came to Tulsa last year and signed books and I just wanted to say I really enjoyed meeting you and reading your book. It was great! I can't wait until the other books of your are out! You have really inspired me. Please write back! Yours truly, Jessica.

  • May 2nd, 2002. Dear H.J. Ralles, I love your books! I can't wait until January! I'll be counting the days until January and I'll try to get to the kick-off party if I can. When you came to our school to do the project I thought it was a brilliant idea! I tried it at home and I'm already brewing two stories! After I finish writing it I promise I'll send you a copy. I really hope to see you again! Sincerely, Eugene.

  • April 30, 2002. I'm Stephen. I've started reading Keeper of the Kingdom and it is such a good book I'm hooked on it. Well, so long from Stephen. You rock!

  • April 30, 2002. Hi! Keeper of the Kingdom is one of my favorite books! I'm gonna start Darok 9 today and I noticed that your books are kinda like the summary is original, but it doesn't appeal to many people that much, but once you read it, it's like "Whoa! This is definitely not what I expected!" Because the way you write it brings everything to life and you're sucked into the book. It's all original because I've never heard a plot like that and I really like the creativity box idea. Everyone I know who has read it really liked it, and I try to encourage my other friends to read it. I seriously did NOT expect the story to be that good, but after all the good reviews I just picked it up one day and didn't stop! I bet that Keeper of the Realm will be just as good and I'll be at the opening party for sure. Hehe. :) bye! Nicole

  • April 27, 2002. I am eagerly waiting for your next book. I have read lots of books but I still think you are a great writer. Hope you're almost finished with your next book! Hanur

  • April 20, 2002. Dear Mrs. Ralles, I just finished Darok 9 and I thought it was a totally awesome book! I love it how you have so much excitement and details in it. When you came to our school and read parts of your book to us I immediately got absorbed into the story and wanted to read it. Right at the first sentence of the first page it made me want to read on and on! Every page has so much excitement on it. I never thought that Lydia would actually be against Hank! When all of a sudden Lydia's attitude changed I was really surprised and I almost gaped at the page! Who would've believed that the nice assistant could be so evil and mean! I really liked how you had a female role in your story. I thought that Maddie was a really cool character. Hank, Rachel, Will, Maddie, Lydia, and all of the characters have so much about them and when you descrbe them it's almost like they're real. It's cool how you can put a lot of emotion into the characters. I've read some other books before that when I read the first chapter nothing is exciting or interesting and I can't read on. But when I read Darok 9 the excitement just kept rolling along through the whole book and I just couldn't put it down to do anything else! I really like how you made a story about the future and about living on the moon. It's really interesting how you created something that hasn't happened! I hope you continue writing books just as neat as Darok 9. Keeper of the Kingdom here I come! Your Fan, Dien

  • April 17, 2002.Dear H.J. Ralles, Hi its me Allison. Remember me? I think you should make a sequel to Darok 9 like what happens after the end continues. I'm on the middle of chapter eight of Darok 9, and on Keeper of the Kingdom I'm on Chapter 4!!!! I love your books! You are my favorite author !!! Allison

  • April 10, 2002. Dear Mrs. Ralles, I have recently acquired a copy of your books, Darok 9 and Keeper of the Kingdom . . . I think that both of your books are one of the best I have ever read. You have amazing captivation that makes me want to read page after page perpetually. In Keeper of the Kingdom I enjoyed the immense detail you put into the first chapter that was so exciting and well thought out that I could actually see Matt climbing up the pillar and had to find out what happened to him. It was also extremely clever how you incorporated Targon into the story and had him meet Thera, not Matt. My favorite character in this story was Matt because he helped a lot of Workers get their freedom. He is extremely brave and amazingly resourceful and just the way I like main characters. The Heatshield weapon was also extremely interesting because of it's supernatural effect. I think this is the best science fiction book I've read and that's saying something, it being my favorite book category. In Darok 9 the best thing about it is how you made the twist from the enemy being the Fourth Quadrant to Lydia. I could have never predicted that to happen in a million years. That event was so amazing and so innovative I could barely believe it. Speaking of innovative, Mrs. Conroy really was something when it came to innovativeness and ingenuity. Hiding the SH33 in a morgue, how could you have ever thought of that. This book was astounding in the inventiveness in it. I am really impressed. The ending was my favorite part because it in my opinion was extremely humorous in the situation with Lydia having the SH 46. I hope she isn't to impetuous and go drink it herself. My favorite character was Hank because he was so determined that his project should be kept confidential and benevolent on the safety of lab testers. As to your question, "Should there be a sequel?" I would say yes but maybe you should do one about another scientist, not Hank, that invented a SH 54 that eliminates the body's need for oxygen or something like that. . . Your Fan, David.

  • April 6, 2002. Dear Mrs. Ralles, I finished Darok 9 and it was great! I liked all the action and the excitement. You came to our school along time ago, but I still remember your visit and I started making a Creativity Box. I wrote a lot of short books. Hope to see your next book soon! Your #1 fan, Hanur.

  • March 27, 2002. Dear Mrs. Ralles, I love Darok 9. I couldn't put it down. It is the best book I have ever read. I can't wait to read Keeper of the Kingdom. Could you please make a sequel of Darok 9? I also can't wait for your next book. Sincerely, Sam.

  • March 27, 2002. Dear H.J. Ralles. I loved Keeper of the Kingdom. I have not haad a chance to read Darok 9 yet but I'm sure it will be wonderful. Thank you very much for coming to my school and signing my book. I appreciate it. Your biggest fan, Keely.

  • March 22, 2002. Dear H.J. Ralles, I loved Darok 9! I even read it one day! It was so exciting. I couldn't put it down! I may have an idea for you if you decide to write a sequel for Darok 9. Maybe Will could follow in his Uncle Hank's foot steps. This is my idea, Will could find a way to go back and live on earth. Fourth Quadrant is after Will's invention, and has to go into hiding and get a new identity, because Fourth Quadrant is hot on his trail. Will's family dosen't even know Will found a way to reinhabit the earth. So they are looking for him and trying to make contact with him. That's all I have come up with as an idea! I met you in San Antonio at a Barnes and Noble book store on March 16,2002. It was the one near the North Woods movie theater. It was lovely to meet you and write to you. I hope I see you again! Your Fan, Sara.(* Sara, I could not reply to your letter, your computer will not accept my email. H.J. Ralles)

  • March 18, 2002. Dear Hilary, Both Charles and Maggie had a wonderful time at the program you gave at Barnes & Noble. They both came home and concentrated on their idea boxes, and have since been writing stories using their boxes. . . I would personally like to thank you for being such a great inspiration to my children and to other children, both in terms of helping them spark their imaginations and in giving them encouragement for their love of writing. There are so many influences that pull kids away from writing, and the positive feeling they got from you about writing has helped reinforce their natural love of writing. Thanks, C. F.

  • March 15, 2002. Dear H.J. Ralles. I really enjoyed your book Keeper of the Kingdom. It was really good. I liked all of the book. I had no favorite part. If I had to say what my favorite part was all I could say was the entire book was my favorite part. I don't get how it can be a series after reading the epilogue. It was really neat to meet you and get you to sign my book. I hope you keep writing the books as well as you wrote this one. I think it would be cool to be a writer and I am working on a story right now. Could you give me some tips on writing a book? Thank-you. For now, your reader, Jim.

  • March 7, 2002. Dear H.J. Ralles. I really enjoyed reading Darok 9! I can't wait to read your new book! I think Maddie is a great representative of girls. I would recommend your books to just about anyone. What will your new book be called and about? When will it be in the stores? I am eager to find out Your biggest fan, Samantha.

  • March 7, 2002. Hi H.J.! I just wanted to say thank you for coming to my school this week. I really enjoyed both of your books and I have been showing them to all my friends that go to other schools. I was just wondering when you might think your next book will be coming out. Thanks! Matt.

  • March 2, 2002. Hi! My name is Amanda. I finished Keeper of the Kingdom a long time ago but I could not remember your email. I really loved it! Your fan, Amanda.

  • February 26, 2002. I have finished both of your books. They were very good. You are an excellent writer. I can't wait for the next one. What is it called? When will it come out? Paul.

  • February 21, 2002. Darok 9 was a thrilling tension-filled story. I finished it all dying to know what the final happening was. I am looking forward to Keeper of the Realm next January. Keep up the great work! Best wishes. Arnold.

  • February 22, 2002. Wow! I am enjoying Darok 9 so far. I can't wait until Keeper of the Realm comes out. You are the best writer I have seen so far. Hanur.

  • February 21, 2002. Dear Mrs. Ralles, I like how you fill your books with action from page 1. I like Darok 9 better than Keeper because people are already under attack on page 2! Best wishes. Ryan.

  • February 20, 2002.- I really enjoyed Keeper of the Kingdom. It was very exciting to read about their adventures. My favorite part was when they went to get the CD Rom. I really like this book and want to read the sequels as soon as possible. Sincerely, Sara.

  • February 20, 2002.- I love Keeper of the Kingdom and Darok 9 (Domed Atmospheric Orbital Kommunity 9) I hope to get the first edition of Keeper of the Realm and Keeper of the Empire. Your first two books are wonderful. Jordan.

  • February 19, 2002.- You came to my classroom in fifth grade. I finished your Keeper of the Kingdom book a couple of days ago and I absolutely love it. I couldn't put the book down. Like it was one of those books where when you are reading at night and your parents come in and say time to put the book down, but you keep on reading page after page of the book even though you are supposed to put the book down. I know a kid who finished your book in a day it was so good. I am a computer freak myself but I love to read thriller books and you sort of combined those two things and made a book out of that. . . I can't wait to start Darok 9. It sounds really cool. Well, I have to go and get sucked into my computer. Just joking. Brianna.

  • February 19, 2002.- Hi Mrs. Ralles, I wrote to say that I finished Darok 9. I was at the summer program at Little Professor. My name is Jeremy. Anyway, I just finished Darok 9 and I think it was a really, really, really, really good book. I can't wait until you come out with your next book! Jeremy

  • February 19, 2002.- Dear Mrs. Ralles, Your books are so great and I have already read to Chapter 14 in Darok 9 and Chapter 17 in Keeper of the Kingdom. Well, thank you! from Jordan.

  • February 19, 2002.- I just received Keeper of the Kingdom yesterday, but today I got sick. The good thing about that is I got to stay in bed and read Darok 9 all day! I can't wait 'till the next book comes out. Brian

  • February 19, 2002.- Hi! Your book, Keeper of the Kingdom is GREAT!! I had never really liked science fiction until I read Keeper, which is addicting!! I haven't read Darok 9 yet (I bought it today, but haven't had time to get far into it) but the first chapter sounds just as good or better than Keeper of the Kingdom!! Keep up the fantastic work. Courtney.

  • February 19, 2002.- Hi. Well, I just wanted to tell you I read the first 5 chapters in Darok 9. I love it. I'm reading the sixth chapter right now. Thanks, Kylie.

  • February 11, 2002.- I have just finished Darok 9 and it's one of the best books I have ever read. I think it was cool. This is exactly the kind of thing I look for in a book. I finished Keeper a while ago and now every time I play Age of Empires I think of Keeper. I especially like the part in Darok 9 when Rachel hides in the closet from the David section. In Keeper I liked the concept of the force field in the closet. My favorite part of all the books was the battle in Keeper when the Liberators were fighting the Protectors. I have and will continue to read your books. I think you are a really good author and I think you should keep writing. Sincerely, Grant.

  • February 6, 2002.- Hello, I am the girl you met at *******. I am enjoying your story as much as I've had the chance to read! Sara

  • February 4, 2002.- Hi, this is Jason. You probably don't remember me, but you came to my school ****** and I bought Keeper of the Kingdom. It's great. My teacher said you are coming back on Wednesday. I'll be there to buy your next book! Jason.

  • February 1, 2002.- Hi H.J., I just wanted to let you know that you have a new fan! I finished "Keeper of the Kingdom" a few days ago and absolutely loved it! What a neat read . . . and definitely a work you don't want to put down. I can see why both adults and kids enjoy it . . . the book really appeals to anyone who enjoys a good story. . . I'll be starting Darok 9 this weekend! Sincerely yours, Todd.

  • January 30, 2002.- I love your books. Keeper of the Kingdom is great and Darok 9 is even better. I've got a question. Have you made any hardback books for both Keeper and Darok 9? Colton.

  • January 27, 2002.- Dear H.J. Ralles, I have just finished reading Darok 9 and I thought it was brilliant! I really like that sort of book, and I have started to read Keeper of the Kingdom again! I stayed up until 11pm to get Darok 9 finished, because I wanted to know what happened in the end. I particularly liked the ending, and the cover of it is really good. From Philip.

  • January 26, 2002.- Dear H.J. Ralles, I think you are already going to be a better book writer than J.K. Rowling. Well today is your lucky day because I am going to tell you my most favorite parts of Keeper of the Kingdom. My favorite part is when the boy snatched the disc from under the table that was under the Protectors. Another one of my favorite parts is when the Protectors had shot a blast and the boy, Matt, was brought in by workers and they started to help him and ask questions without the Protectors knowing about them helping an intruder. The reason I like that part a lot is because it gives you a lot of information about what you are going to read in Keeper of the Kingdom. Well that's all for right now. Sincerely, Jason.

  • January 25, 2002.- Dear Mrs Ralles, DAROK 9 is one of the best books I have ever read! Among the characters, I liked Hank the best because he is very smart and he discovered the SH33. I also like Maddie and how she hacked into the computer system. Is there going to be a sequel? If there is, what is it called and when is it coming out-I want to be the first to read it. Sincerely, Kevin.

  • January 25, 2002.- Mrs Ralles, So far Darok 9 is REALLY cool!! In my orchestra class, one of my friends started reading it and got all the way to page 60 before it was time to go! I am really enjoying it! I can't wait till Keeper of the Realm comes out. Clare.

  • January 25, 2002.- Dear Mrs Ralles, Thank you for coming to our school. I really enjoyed listening to and learning about how you get ideas for your stories. Thank you for signing my book. I've finished reading Keeper of the Kingdom and couldn't put it down! I'm looking forward to your next book, Darok 9. Sincerely, Katy.

  • January 25, 2002.- Dear Ms. H.J. Ralles, I purchased an autographed copy of your novel, "Keeper of the Kingdom." It was very exciting. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. • December 5, 2001.- Dear Mrs. Ralles, I loved Keeper of the Kingdom. My favorite characters by far were Targon and Matt. The Protectors were awesome. I thought it was cool how you added Protector 101 into the book. The Liberators were very much like a group of rebels. They gave an Underground Railroad impression. The final battle and the technology used in it were futuristic. The workers had strange jobs. It must have been torture to live there. The way you divided Zaul into sectors was very interesting. It was cool how you were inspired by your son's computer game (he has great taste in computer games). I am eagerly awaiting your next book, Darok 9. After I have read that, I'm going to read the other Keeper books when they come out. I hope it comes out soon! Sincerely, Andrew.

  • December 4, 2001.- Dear Mrs. Ralles, I hope you write more books because I like science-fiction. I hope I can come to the kick-off party for Darok 9. I think it sounds like a good book. Right now, I can't wait 'til I finish Keeper of the Kingdom. After I finish it, I will read Keeper of the Realm. Sincerely, Rudy.

  • November 30, 2001.- Dear Mrs. Ralles, I am wanting to tell you how good Keeper of the Kingdom is. I was really entranced by the story and how Matt is trying to free the human Workers. the names were cool, too like Varl, Dorin, Targon, Balder and Norak. Naming the Protectors and Commanders was neat too. The thing that was very interesting and surprising was when Protector 101 . . . It was also interesting how you incorporated computer technology into the story. The end I thought, was the best part. . .Keep on writing more books in this series because it rocks! Thank you for writing Keeper of the Kingdom. Your biggest fan, Jonathan.

  • March 23, 2001 - Hi, I just wanted to drop you a quick note. Meredith has been enjoying every page of your book. Every day she tells me what a terrific story it is and how clever it is. She is 11 and in 5th Grade. If you ever come this way, I am sure the school would love to have you. Good luck with all your travels. Mary, Glastonbury, CT

  • March 20, 2001 - Hi, Mrs. Ralles. I finished your book a while ago and forgot to write to you about it. The critics say - that is me - that it is a WONDERFUL, STUPENDOUS and most of all AWESOME book and I can't wait to hear and read more!!! I think that what happens in the next story depends upon . . . I can't wait for the next book, the first one was AMAZING! Adelia, Allen, TX

  • March 19, 2001 - I really did enjoy your book. I didn't start reading it until yesterday even though I've had it for a month. But, I curled up in bed with it around 9pm and by midnight I was very tired but didn't want to put the book away. I finally stopped at about 12:30 and finished it up at about 11am this morning. I was taken by surprise with the ending . . . That was great! Very impressed! I think it would be a book that my nephews would enjoy. I got them hooked on Harry Potter last year. This Christmas I think it will be your stories! When is your next book coming out? Keep up the good work! D.M.

  • March 18, 2001 - Just wanted to sing praises for your book KEEPER OF THE KINGDOM. I read it in one day - I didn't want to put it down! Wonderful imagery and quite an ending! Great job. Deb. McKinney, TX

  • March 7, 2001 - Mrs. Ralles, I gave one of your books to my friend's daughter on Sunday. She was off school on Monday and Tuesday so she was able to settle down and read it and she really enjoyed it! She wants to know what will happen next and I think you said you were planning a sequel, is that right? My daughter is about half way through it and is also enjoying it, and Ben and I are reading it together for his school reading grade and he is very enthusiastic and is getting quite caught up in the adventure, which is great. So, our overall opinion is very positive and I think Keeper of the Kingdom should do very well. Sincerely, Fiona, Chicago.

  • February 27, 2001 - Dear H.J. Ralles. I love the book. I've got about 20 more pages to go and the suspense is killing me! I love the way Matt and his friends are trying to save Zaul. I would never have thought of something like this. There are so many things that I and many other kids can learn from Keeper of the Kingdom. Thank you for thinking of a great novel for boys. There aren't enough out on the market. Sincerely, Brice.

  • February 27, 2001 - Dear Mrs. Ralles, I enjoyed your novel Keeper of the Kingdom. The plot was captivating and well thought out with perfect transitioning. The characters seemed as if they were real people with real emotions and fears . . . the ending left me wondering how the next book could go . . Thanks, Kyle, Grapevine, TX

  • February 23, 2001 - LOVED YOUR BOOK! Hi! This is Ben from Collin Creek Mall last Saturday. I am 12. Well, I loved your book, Keeper of the Kingdom! I like books that have a twisted ending like that. I think anyone my age would love it! I can't wait for the second one. It's also like a movie I have seen called Battlefield Earth with John Travolta. If you have not seen that movie, I think you should. Well, got to go. Bye. Sincerely, Ben

  • February 22, 2001 - I am Clare. My friend met you somewhere and got a book for me and had it signed by you! When I get older I am going to write novels like you and C.S. Lewis!! Right now, I am only 12 and must stay content with writing short stories. I loved Keeper of the Kingdom. It was very intense and elaborate . . .Clare, Allen, TX

  • Febraury 19, 2001- Dear Mrs. Ralles. By the time I got home after purchasing your book I had started to read Keeper of the Kingdom and couldn't put it down. I absolutely loved your book! . . . I thought about your book and came up with a summary for a make believe book of which I think would be neat. It's the year 2560, twenty years after the events in Keeper of the Kingdom. Matt has restored peace to the land of Zaul and the Liberators are now its fair rulers . . .I thought you'd like to see my idea and please tell me if you like it! Best of luck, Alex.

  • February 17, 2001 - Dear Mrs. Ralles. Hi! Remember me, AG? I'm the girl at Collin Creek Mall today, that asked if you could help me with my writing. I can't thank you enough for the signed book and everything else you gave me . . . I've started to read your book. I'm only just started, but so far it's wonderful. Sincerely, A.G.
